Self portrait month 4. December was fun and fast! Filled with smiles and happy tears. I want to dedicate this month to her... my mom.
After we packed our home and our luggage, we barely had time to settle at my father in law's house (thank you Opa and Oma!) and it was time to go again! Evelyn and I embarked on an adventure with a mission: to surprise vovó a whole month earlier than she expected us to come. (Papai is deeply missed and will join us in a couple of weeks)
Three flights, eight hours of layovers, a sleepover and a 3 hour car ride (thank you Julia!!) with a learning-to-walk-toddler = to see the happy face more than two days later - all worth it!
Everyone here in Brazil was looking forward to meet our baby girl. I can't even imagine how it must feel for my mom having to wait 11 months to meet her first granddaughter. And this is why I'm dedicating this month to her. December self portrait was with her, my mom!
With the travels, the heat, the time change, the holidays, the limited internet, and all the family and friends we met, December was very eventful and with little time to write this post. I apologize for the late post, but here it is. We did take the portrait in December, if that matter :p
There is so much more of her in me that I would care to admit.
